Dr. Matthews has a long history of service to his community and his profession. He has served as a School Board Trustee in Navasota and College Station. In addition, Dr. Matthews is a Past-President of the Texas Pediatric Society, and currently serves on the Executive Board of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Born and raised in Texas, Dr. Matthews enjoys the Texas Hill Country in Comfort and the beaches of Galveston. His favorite part of being a pediatrician is caring for children, while educating parents.
